We offer two facets of cooking programming in partnership with professional chefs from ReRoot Kitchen:

1) Weekly cooking skills programs that teach our youth how to prepare nutritious, budget-friendly, and delicious meals while they practice a wide variety of culinary skills and techniques; and

2) Monthly cultural workshops led by elders in our community that allow the youth to learn the cultural significance of food as they spend quality time preparing a meal to share with loved ones.

Launchpad: Skills for the Real World is a life-skills program that addresses the age-old question: “why did no one ever tell me that when I was younger?”

The curriculum promotes transferable skill development, confidence-building, and the development of self-efficacy through a hands-on, interactive and strength-based approach.

The program focuses on three pillars: workplace readiness, financial literacy and mental health and resilience. Workshops are developed and facilitated by subject-matter experts, including Registered Clinical Counsellors and those with hands-on experience in business and finance.
