The Landing Youth Centre is a community hub serving vulnerable youth and their families in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and Grandview-Woodland neighbourhoods. We provide all-round support, programs, and services to vulnerable youth and their families.
What
we
offer
The Landing Youth Centre is an inclusive space for youth and community partners. We have designed a centre where young people can gather, connect , learn, and grow in a supportive environment. We hope that the time spent in our space will build community and strengthen lifelong friendships.
We provide vulnerable youth with a variety of preventative and early intervention programs. Our programs are delivered by both our team and a variety of community partners who share our vision. All programs are designed to provide intentional mentorship from positive adults in our community, as well as a safe space for youth to learn, grow, and express themselves. Community is central to all of our programs, with a goal of providing youth with a network of support to help them thrive.
1 in 6 children in BC live in households that experience household food insecurity. Household food insecurity affects people's physical, social, and mental health, which are critical in the formative teen years. The cost of nutritious and adequate groceries is often unrealistic for vulnerable families. At the Landing Youth Centre we know that a teen cannot reach their full potential when they are worrying about their next meal. We strive to lessen the burden of our youth and their families so that they can reach their full potential.
By listening attentively and responding thoughtfully to community needs, we can contribute to building a stronger, more cohesive community where youth feel heard, valued, and empowered. Through grant/gift programs such as our wrap-around program, alumni scholarships, emergency family grants, and holiday hampers, we provide opportunities for our families and youth to express their needs. We do our best to meet these needs whenever possible.

The Landing is committed to addressing the needs of our youth by not only providing them with basic necessities like bus passes, meals, grocery gift cards, healthy snacks but also immeasurable soft supports like creating a safe space for them, assembling an army of mentors who believe in them, and creating opportunities for them to experience joy.
