About Us

We exist to educate and empower young people with the knowledge, strategies and tools to confidently navigate life.

Launchpad: Skills for the Real World is a life-skills program offered by The Landing that addresses the age-old question: “why did no one ever tell me that when I was younger?”

The curriculum promotes transferable skill development, confidence-building, and the development of self-efficacy through a hands-on, interactive and strength-based approach.

The program focuses on four pillars: mental health and resilience, upstream violence prevention, workplace readiness, and financial literacy. Workshops are developed and facilitated by subject-matter experts, including Registered Clinical Counsellors and those with hands-on experience in business and finance.

You may know us as ‘ShEvalesco’

In 2025, ShEvalesco formally became a part of The Landing Youth Centre Foundation, becoming a program stream entitled 'Launchpad: Skills for the Real World’’.

This strategic move reflects a long-standing relationship between our teams and boosts our collective capacity to serve more youth across British Columbia and beyond.

Importantly, this organizational change does not impact the scope or delivery of existing projects. All ShEvalesco initiatives, staff, and core programs, including the curriculum and registered clinical counsellors, have come with us on this journey.
